ABOUT ME
My name is Sarah Waddington. I am 32, and live in Llanrwst in North Wales with my husband, baby and dog.
I have now been creating artwork with a view to selling and exhibiting it for several years. I work in mixed media and collage. My mixed media paintings usually feature animals or domestic objects and I like to paint with acrylic, left over house paints, gouache, soft pastels and coloured pencils.
I also create collages, mainly landscapes real and imagined. These are made by hand painting paper with acrylic and acrylic gouache paints before cutting the paper up by hand with a craft knife and assembling the pieces into the finished composition.
This year I have been lucky enough to exhibit my work in four different local exhibitions: Art North Wales group exhibition in the RCA Conwy, the RCA Conwy Open, Llanfairfechan art week Open and the Pensychnant Open exhibition. If you are interested in exhibiting my work or want to share exhibiting opportunities with me please get in touch.
I went to Leeds University and have a degree in Geology and later moved to Bangor where I did a Masters in Conservation and Land Management. I did various volunteering roles, before starting my own business with my husband. Together we now run 'Fron Goch Farm' in the Elwy valley, a 16 bed holiday let, events company and smallholding.
