Created on New Year's eve 2023, whilst drinking fizz. A joyful collage of acrylic painted paper, gouache and acrylic background and scribbled highlights and shadows with derwent inktense pencils. The simple shapes of the glasses and bottles appear to glow due to the single layer of vibrant acrylic paint. The setting is lit from above and through a window out of which hints of green and leafless vegetation seen under a low winter light set the kitchen table a glow in a way you only get in the winter afternoons.
