This piece was created by making random textures with gouache on art board. I then began to paint in the negative spaces as shapes appeared, the cow appeared first and then the sheep and a chicken, giving the painting a strong theme. I continued to pick out shapes, creating creatures with character and farmyard objects by painting in the negative space until the painting felt ballanced. The tulips were the last detail to finish it off. A few extra details have been added where needed to enhance the characters in derwent inktense pencils.
