Acrylic painting of a Guineafowl - the main purpose of which was to practice and experiment with sgrafitto techniques. The dark body of the guineafowl has been painted over a very thin layer of vibrant blue, and white, and then scratched into whilst still wet to give light dappled feathers. The background is similarly soft blue and green painted over with white and then scraped away to give the pleasing lines.
